Korean MedTech leader expands regional operations with new HQ and launches research, education, and internship collaborations with UoC

The company marked the launch by signing two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the University of Cyberjaya (UoC), strengthening cooperation in medical device research, education, and internship programs.
The expansion signals AdipoLABs’ strategy to enhance non-invasive healthcare innovation and build a robust MedTech ecosystem across Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
The new headquarters, located in Petaling Jaya’s Mitraland, was established in partnership with Red & Blue Co. Ltd, the Korean parent company.

During the ceremony, Korean CEO Prof. Han Seong-ho emphasized the company’s intention to accelerate R&D collaboration, knowledge transfer, and preventive healthcare capacity-building by leveraging its hyperthermia-based medical technologies.
As part of the MoUs, UoC’s physiotherapy students will undergo a six-month internship program involving hands-on clinical training with AdipoLABs’ signature device, the Pain Bot, while biomedical engineering students will receive technical training in device maintenance and after-sales service.
AdipoLABs Malaysia also donated one Pain Bot unit to UoC, enabling students to gain practical exposure to advanced musculoskeletal pain-management technology.
Dr. Isaac R. Joseph, Director of AdipoLABs Malaysia, noted that the partnership establishes a foundation for regional medical innovation, talent development, and evidence-based research.

UoC Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. David Whitford added that the collaboration will give students access to world-class rehabilitation technologies and support Malaysia’s broader healthcare innovation goals.
Prof. Dr. Seungmo Yoo, developer of the Pain Bot and adjunct professor at UoC, will contribute to onsite and remote educational activities, mentoring students in non-invasive pain diagnostics and treatment.
